Ratio to surrogate ... a rocher  2023-09-06 02:25

Hello,

I quantify small molecules on Skyline. I wanted to use metabolite B as an internal standard for metabolite A, so I defined marked metabolite B as a standard surrogate in the tree structure. Unfortunately, in the Normalization Method column of the Document Grid, the name of the metabolite is replaced by its InChIKey, which makes it very difficult to read (see attached file).

How can we make the "Ratio to surrogate..." option show the metabolite name (as defined in the tree structure) and not an identifier?

Thanks
Amandine

At the moment, I think the only thing that you would be able to do would be to set the InChiKey of your molecules to be blank, so that the Name would be displayed instead.

I will try to fix this in a future version of Skyline show that the dropdown shows you the Name in addition to whatever it is currently showing.

It would be helpful if you could send us your Skyline document so that I can make sure that whatever fix I come up with works with your use case.
In Skyline, you can use the menu item:
File > Share
to create a .zip file containing your Skyline document and supporting files including extracted chromatograms.

If that .zip file is less than 50MB you can attach it to this support request. You can upload larger files here:

Hello,

You can find on the link : https://skyline.ms/files.url my file "20230818_ROCHER_testSKYLINE_ID.sky.zip".

Thanks for your help

Hello Nick,

I would like to know if you have fixed this point concerning the name of the molecule in the "Normalisation Method" column ?

Thanks
